Job Purpose
Working as part of the Product Strategy & Business Development team, the person will be responsible identifying, establishing contact and establishing new relationships with companies that fit into the Digital Business Unit's (DBU) strategy and expansion plans.
The aim is to ensure that the relationship established with the organization leads to a positive financial and customer benefit in a specific timeframe.
Key Accountabilities

Market and technology scouting, in line with the DBU strategy, to identify relevant products and organizations to partner with. Evaluate and negotiate a partnership model (including but not limited to one or more of technology transfer, licensing, partnerships assessment and development) in order to offer a new product or service by the DBU High level product development planning Formulation of a business plan Ensuring partnership reaches a phase where commercial success, or prospects of a commercial success can be demonstrated, before it is handed over to an operating unit within the DBU.

Work Experience

Demonstrable experience in Business Development within corporate standards and guidelines Demonstrable strategic thinking and experience in being able to spot early trends, products or companies and to generate a viable business opportunity from it. Experience in business development and/or partner management experience within reputed Telcos or Internet services. Experience in negotiating and International/multi-country experience preferred

Personal/Soft Skills

Ability to establish and manage trusted relationships with senior business leaders Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Hands-on, self-directed executive who plans, prepares and executes professionally Ability to work well with limited supervision and with limited resources Team player Market and competitive orientation Flexible, with the ability to react quickly to new requirements, conditions and demands, and both to derive and implement alternative measures

Education

Graduate/Post Graduate (desirable) MBA preferred.
