Position: Digital Project Manager
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Oxford
Salary: £40,000-£45,000

Job Purpose:
A role within the Technology and Platforms team to lead and manage platform development for customer facing educational online services, to deliver the required projects within set timescales and budgets. This will involve managing the life cycle of projects from concept through specification, to working with third party suppliers and development teams on implementation and delivery. A key aspect of the role will be to work proactively with members of the Technology and Platforms team and other learning technology groups within the organisation to implement the agreed technology strategy and architectural concepts.

Key Requirements (Skills & Experience):
*Strong record of delivery in managing software development life cycle;
*Solid technical understanding of web technology and solution design;
*Ability to explain technical concepts in an easy to understand manner;
*Passion and expertise in current technologies and their potential in education;
*Skilled in managing third party suppliers across multiple sites;
*Digital publishing experience in the education market.

Key Responsibilities:
*Work with publishing teams to understand and capture requirements for development;
*Lead on the creation of functional and technical specifications and architectural designs;
*Plan resourcing requirements, and manage resourcing effectively, balancing budget and timescale;
*Manage third party suppliers and contractors on appropriate projects and their tendered budgets;
*Manage effective monitoring and reporting processes and lead risk management;
*Identify, recommend and implement tools or techniques that significantly improve and support successful management and delivery of programmes/projects;
*Work effectively with product teams to ensure ongoing customer focus in platform delivery and support;
*Contribute to overall strategy and business plan development;
