Establishment
Hextable School is a smaller than average community secondary school with mixed students aged 11-19, with over 664 students and 105 in the sixth form. The school became a performing arts college, receiving specialist status in September 2004. Hextable has a speech and language unit for students with communication needs.
The school opened in 1974 and is situated within the green belt and stands in beautiful grounds with an extensive playing field leading onto New Barn Park in Swanley. Hextable has excellent ICT facilities and all classrooms have interactive whiteboards or wireless projection facilities.
Ofsted
The school recently underwent a full Ofsted Inspection and was judged to be satisfactory, with many good points highlighted during the inspection including a committed Head Teacher leading the school well and working effectively to raise standards, pupils participation in extracurricular activities and learners well cared for.

You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to demonstrate excellent learning and teaching as well as maintaining high expectations and standards. You will also have high level interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and will have the ability to put ambitious ideas into practice.
