This well run Primary School located close to Stoke Newington in a vibrant part of Hackney has been educating East London
students for the past 100 years and has consistently produced students that are equipped with the tools they need to be
successful going forward.
Due to an internal shuffle and one of its most experienced teachers leaving for promotion the school is looking to
appoint a Key Stage 2 teacher who is either already holding whole school responsibility or feels ready to take the next
step and coordinate literacy.
The school has a typical intake of Hackney students with high EAL and free school meal numbers plus high student
mobility. The school provides anything but a typical education in a challenging area though striving to ensure all can
achieve. The school teaches a creative curriculum and continuously strives to come up with new initiatives to engage
pupils and encourage independent thinking.
The school has a good level of behaviour throughout with all students aware of the boundaries and the implications of
breaking them. The SLT at the school are highly supportive and there is a warm friendly feel that encourages low staff
turnover.
